Our Team. Our Passion. Our Approach. JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting with leading the mechanical installation of parcel conveying systems. Plan and coordinate the efforts of the crew under his/her supervision and motivate them to accomplish the work safely, correctly, and efficiently.

Requirements

  • 3 years of supervisory experience preferably within the conveyor systems industry.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of: Power transmission equipment, Steel fabrication, Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply customer specifications
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and co-workers
  • Ability to complete detail-oriented work producing above average results
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks in an effective and timely manner, organize own work, participate in setting priorities, and meet critical time deadlines
  • Ability to travel 9 months to 3 years at a time to various locations

Responsibilities

  • Assist Superintendent in leading and directing the mechanical crew
  • Fill in for superintendent and follow plan in superintendent’s absence
  • Capable of leading 5-10 person crew with own work area and/or small projects
  • Understands SOW and recognizes and identifies extra’s to superintendent
  • Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards
  • Provide technical support for vendors, field installation personnel, and engineering subcontractors as related to inquiries
  • Examine/inspect field conditions and identify problems, inaccuracies, and cost saving measures that arise or that may be encountered.
  • Take corrective actions as needed.
