About The Position

This position is for a General Foreman in the Harvest department on the 2nd shift at JBS USA in Ottumwa. The role requires extensive knowledge of products and technical skills in various production jobs, with a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in the processing plant industry. Sponsorship is not available for external candidates. A good attendance record is required (less than 3 points for internal candidates).

Responsibilities

Oversee entire Harvest floor production.
Direct supervisors with respect to production volume, quality, cost, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
Train and develop supervisors to provide management depth and develop teamwork to attain department objectives.
Review daily production schedule to plan work and personnel assignments.
Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized.
Maintain good employee relations and adherence to labor contract provisions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
