About The Position

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a General Foreman/Foreperson for Utility Line Clearance to lead crews servicing the Greater Akron, Ohio region. This role requires an individual with an established, productive, and safe work group, and preference is given to those with a CDL and/or climbing experience.

Requirements

Love of the outdoors
Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA training
Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
Valid driver’s license
Line clearance experience or other related tree work

Nice To Haves

Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
ISA Certified Arborist®
ISA Certified Tree Worker®
TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®

Responsibilities

Manage, direct and supervise crew leaders, field personnel and equipment.
Plan and execute assigned work.
Organize and assign crews and equipment to efficiently perform the required work.
Understand and follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
Maintain accurate records of required work.
Oversee the hiring and training of all Davey employees in territory.
Investigate accidents and promptly report to appropriate management.
