About The Position
The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a General Foreman/Foreperson for Utility Line Clearance, leading crews servicing Lorain-Medina Rural Electric in Ohio. This role involves managing, directing, and supervising crew leaders, field personnel, and equipment, as well as planning and executing assigned work. The position offers an outdoor work environment with new views daily and is part of a large, employee-owned company focused on safety, client service, and environmental services.
Requirements
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA training
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Valid driver’s license
- Line clearance experience required for hourly pay rate of $30.
Nice To Haves
- Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
- Line clearance experience or other related tree work
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
- ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
Responsibilities
- Manage, direct and supervise crew leaders, field personnel and equipment.
- Plan and execute assigned work.
- Organize and assign crews and equipment to efficiently perform the required work.
- Understand and follow all company policies, procedures, and work rules.
- Maintain accurate records of required work.
- Oversee the hiring and training of all Davey employees in territory.
- Investigate accidents and promptly report to appropriate management.
