The Janitorial / GFS (General Facility Services) Worker plays a vital role in maintaining clean, safe, and organized facilities. This position supports daily operations by performing routine and deep cleaning tasks, maintaining restrooms and common areas, handling waste removal, and ensuring all areas meet cleanliness and sanitation standards. The work of this role directly contributes to a positive experience for guests, staff, and students.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including restrooms, dining spaces, offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions.
• Dust, wipe, and disinfect surfaces such as tables, counters, railings, and fixtures.
• Clean, disinfect, and restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, soap).
• Ensure restrooms remain clean, odor‑free, and presentable throughout the shift.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Replace liners and ensure waste areas remain clean and orderly.
• Safely use cleaning tools and equipment such as mops, vacuums, floor machines, and carts.
• Monitor cleaning supply levels and notify leadership when restocking is needed.
• Follow established safety procedures, chemical handling guidelines, and sanitation standards.
• Report spills, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assist with room or area resets as needed (chairs, tables, basic setup).
• Support special cleaning needs for events, weather conditions, or operational demands.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to complete assigned duties.
• Provide assistance or guidance to others when needed.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
