General Food Production Worker — 1st Shift
About The Position
Sandridge Crafted Foods is hiring General Production Workers for 1st shift in Medina, OH. This is a full-time, union position represented by UFCW Local 880. The role involves turning raw ingredients into food products. No experience is required, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are essential. Employees will be matched to specific production roles based on experience and openings, such as Packers, Line Leads, Clean Room Operators, Tray/Hand Fillers, Potato Unloaders, Ingredient Handlers/Prep, or Production Support. The position offers clear pay progression, seniority-based bidding rights, and a stable, structured schedule.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for a full shift (up to 50 lbs)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cold & wet food manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
Nice To Haves
- Prior manufacturing/production experience preferred but not required — training provided
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on production tasks per your assigned role (packaging, machine operation, material handling, quality checks, or sanitation)
- Follow all food safety, GMP, and plant safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Meet production, quality, and efficiency standards
- Work collaboratively with your line/team to hit daily targets
