About The Position

This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. Responsibilities

  • Back up transfer machines.
  • Hanging birds into empty shackles, insuring birds are hung by two legs, taking one-legged birds off line and placing onto rack.
  • Position backs-up transfer machines continuously.
  • Taking birds that were not hung and have dropped onto belt and hanging them into eviscerating shackles.
  • Birds that were improperly hung by one leg are manually hung by both legs.
  • One-legged birds are removed from the table or shackle and placed onto a rack for manual evisceration by floor help.
  • Adjust picking line speed to prevent pile-up on belt while insuring speed is sufficient to keep eviscerating lines full.
  • Operates light system that communicates with live hangers.
