About The Position

Will perform necessary repairs and project maintenance on systems including plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, cutting and welding. This role involves performing regular preventive maintenance, following food safety and personal safety guidelines, and executing maintenance repairs on various systems. The technician will diagnose and repair equipment, provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs, detect faulty operations, and utilize hand and power tools. Effective interaction with other departments and peers is expected, along with daily completion of assigned work orders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • 3+ years’ experience using mechanical or other related skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret in the English language correspondence, general business reports, technical procedures or reports, equipment manuals and work orders.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors.
  • Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and or schedule form.
  • Ability to use computers and all standard programs used by the industry and the ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment within the facility.
  • Follow all Food Safety and Personal Safety Guidelines established within company policy.
  • Perform maintenance repairs on systems including plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, cutting and welding.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Diagnosing problems on equipment/machinery including replacing and repairing parts, testing and adjusting keep machinery running.
  • Provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs on production equipment.
  • Detect faulty operations and defective material and report findings to supervisors.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Establish and maintain effective and professional interaction with other departments and peers.
  • Will be assigned work orders daily with expectations of completion.
