About The Position

Project Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced General Engineer Project Manager for the civil engineering and acquisition support services to the U.S. Air Force’s 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The General Engineer Project Manager will support the planning, development, and execution of engineering and construction projects for U.S. Air Force infrastructure programs. The position requires collaboration with engineering teams and contractors to successfully manage projects from concept through completion. This role is contingent upon award of project.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields- engineering / architecture / building Construction Services
  • Degree must be accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) / NAAB (National Architectural Accrediting Board) / ACCE (American Council for Construction Education)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the construction industry
  • Experience must include developing engineering solutions and designs for DoD (Department of Defense) facilities or commercial infrastructure and utility systems
  • Strong ability to develop engineering solutions and designs for construction and infrastructure projects
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into technical specifications and project deliverables
  • Experience in project planning, programming, and development of technical requirements
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing design documents, cost estimates, and project documentation
  • Capability to review and evaluate A/E contractor submittals for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Strong understanding of construction, infrastructure, and utility systems
  • Ability to provide technical expertise and support to engineering and construction projects
  • Skills in technical analysis, evaluation, and reporting
  • Experience supporting design management and project development activities
  • Ability to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and project requirements
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for reports, presentations, and coordination
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills in engineering environments
  • Ability to work independently with self-discipline and minimal supervision
  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times
  • Physical ability to see, hear, walk, drive, climb, reach, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering solutions and design concepts for construction and infrastructure projects
  • Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and project plans
  • Manage and coordinate engineering projects from planning through design and execution phases
  • Prepare and review project documents, including design requirements, statements of work, and cost estimates
  • Support requirement development and project programming activities
  • Review and evaluate A/E contractor design submittments for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to support project development and execution
  • Assist in managing schedules, costs, and performance of engineering and construction projects
  • Conduct technical reviews of project deliverables and recommend acceptance or revisions
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support project tracking and decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and federal requirements
