About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Education Teacher to provide classroom instruction and academic support for fourth-grade students. The ideal candidate will create an engaging learning environment, deliver standards-based instruction, foster student growth, and collaborate with school staff and families to support student success.

Requirements

Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SC DOE) Teaching License required.
Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field preferred.
Previous teaching experience in an elementary school setting preferred.
Experience teaching fourth-grade students preferred.
Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies and lesson plans.
Strong organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, administrators, support staff, and families.
Commitment to fostering student achievement and creating a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver effective, engaging instruction aligned with state and district curriculum standards.
Develop and implement lesson plans that support academic achievement and student learning objectives.
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Assess student progress through formal and informal evaluations and maintain accurate academic records.
Utilize effective classroom management strategies to promote student engagement and positive behavior.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and student needs.
Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and families regarding student performance and development.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-related activities.
Maintain compliance with educational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Support school initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
