About The Position

The General Education Instructor (Part-time) position at the Phoenix Campus is an on-site role requiring 20 hours per week. The instructor will be responsible for teaching courses in Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, and Microbiology. Key responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, monitoring student progress and attendance, maintaining student success rates, and evaluating student performance to meet individual learning needs. The role also involves ensuring safety precautions are followed in the classroom.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with education in the specific courses taught, from an accredited institution.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Implement and evaluate daily lesson plans including scheduled activities and sequenced materials.
Plan instruction to achieve specific objectives based on student needs and established curriculum.
Monitor student attendance and coordinate with the Student Services Coordinator, Associate Director, or Program Director when absences occur two days in a row; enter attendance daily.
Review student success rates and implement plans to reduce withdrawals; maintain an 80% student success rate for all classes taught.
Monitor student academic progress and notify the Student Services Coordinator, Associate Director, or Program Director when a student's grade average drops.
Maintain student grades per established policies; prepare final grades at the end of each sequence to update student records and transcripts.
Evaluate student performance and make necessary provisions to meet individual learning needs.
Monitor students in the classroom; assist students and ensure all safety precautions are adhered to.
