About The Position

This is a temporary position for approximately 4-6 weeks, working 6.5 hours per day. The role involves assisting students in the classroom and in special education settings, focusing on behavior management and academic support. Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students throughout the day assisting with behavior and academics.
• Refocus the student in the classroom.
• De-escalate negative behavior.
• Recognize and acknowledge positive behavior.
• Work cooperatively with the classroom teacher and Special Education staff.
• Work to increase independence in children.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervising teacher.
