About The Position

Gentle Dental is seeking a Part-Time General Dentist with a focus on Endodontics and Root Canal Therapy for their Palo Alto, California location. This role is ideal for a General Dentist who enjoys performing root canals and wishes to dedicate more of their clinical time to endodontic procedures. The position offers the opportunity to focus primarily on root canal therapy, endodontic diagnosis, and related procedures within the scope of general dentistry. You will join an established multi-specialty dental organization with a strong internal referral network, modern dental technology, experienced clinical support, and the autonomy to provide exceptional patient care.

Requirements

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
• Active California dental license or ability to obtain one before employment
• Current DEA registration, CPR certification, and NPI
• Demonstrated clinical experience and confidence performing root canal therapy and other endodontic procedures
• Strong endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning skills
• Commitment to evidence-based dentistry and high-quality patient care
• Excellent communication and patient relationship skills
• Interest in developing and maintaining an endodontic-focused general dentistry practice

Nice To Haves

• Advanced endodontic experience is preferred for this position.
• An endodontic specialty residency is not required.

Responsibilities

• Anterior root canal therapy
• Premolar root canal treatment
• Molar root canal therapy
• Endodontic examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Emergency root canal treatment
• Pulpotomies and pulpectomies
• Diagnosis and management of dental pain and endodontic emergencies
• Core buildups following endodontic treatment
• Evaluation and referral of complex endodontic cases requiring specialist care
• Collaboration with Endodontists and other dental specialists when appropriate
