About The Position

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking a General Dentist (DDS/DMD) for a dental clinic in Virginia. This is a locum tenens opportunity with the possibility of becoming a permanent position. The assignment is for 3 months or until a permanent provider is found, starting on 5/18/2026 and ending on 8/28/2026. The clinic is a Dental Service Organization (DSO) and primarily serves adult patients, with approximately 25% pediatric patients. The office is equipped with CBCT technology. While surgical extractions are currently referred out, there is a desire to perform more of these procedures in-house. The dentist will work with the current doctor one day per week. The patient volume is around 30 per day.

Requirements

• DDS/DMD degree.
• Valid Virginia dental license.
• Must be a Medicaid provider or able to expedite Medicaid credentialing.
• BLS certification.
• Experience in general dentistry, including pediatrics.
• Proficiency with root canals, bridges, and extractions.
• Experience with CBCT technology is a plus.
• Ability to manage a patient volume of approximately 30 per day.

Nice To Haves

• Experience performing surgical extractions.
• Ability to expedite Medicaid credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Denticon EMR software.
