About The Position

United Dental Partners is seeking a qualified full-time Dental Assistant to join its dental practice. The role supports general dentistry patients by helping them feel comfortable and assisting dentists during procedures. The position includes all aspects of clinical dental care, including preparing patients and helping dentists identify problems and changes in patients’ mouths. This may involve taking jaw x-rays and photographs of teeth.

The practices provide general, pediatric, orthodontic, and oral surgery care for children and adults. Requirements

• Previous dental chairside assisting experience is preferred.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for the workday.
• Excellent customer service skills and an outgoing, people-friendly personality.
• Excellent communication skills with staff and patients.
• Desire to learn new skills and expand potential.

Nice To Haves

• Coronal Polishing certification.
• Pit/Fissure Sealants certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for procedures by ensuring the necessary tools are sterilized and in place.
• Help keep patients’ mouths clean and dry during procedures and hand dentists the necessary tools at the appropriate time.
• Educate patients by explaining procedures and discussing treatment progress and plans.
• Provide support across all aspects of clinical dental care.
• Assist dentists in seeing problems and changes in patients’ mouths, which may include taking x-rays of the jaw and photographs of teeth.
