About The Position
The General Custodian position at Maumelle Middle School is a part-time role, working 4 hours per day. The primary goal is to ensure a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient environment for students to learn, play, and develop. This role involves a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks throughout the school.
Requirements
- Experience in custodial work or willingness to learn
- Ability to do physical labor
Responsibilities
- Scrub, mop, wax, and polish floors as needed.
- Vacuum and clean carpet.
- Dust and polish furniture, wash windows, woodwork, venetian blinds, and bathrooms.
- Responsible for removal of trash from assigned areas.
- Clean up grounds and perform the routine tasks required in the care of the grounds.
- Move office and school furniture as needed.
- Perform work at varying heights on a ladder.
- Perform some heavy lifting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
