About The Position

SuperDial is seeking a highly hands-on, business-oriented General Counsel to build and lead the company’s legal function during a pivotal stage of growth. This foundational leadership role requires someone who can act as both a strategic advisor to leadership and handle day-to-day legal execution. The General Counsel will own a broad range of legal matters including commercial contracting, healthcare compliance, employment, governance, fundraising support, and operational risk management, while also building the necessary systems and processes for responsible scaling. The role involves auditing current legal processes, reviewing various agreements, building cross-functional relationships, assessing risks in healthcare, AI, privacy, and enterprise software, and standardizing templates and workflows. The position will also involve managing outside counsel, implementing policies, and fostering a proactive legal and compliance culture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of legal experience, including significant experience advising high-growth technology companies.
  • Combination of top law firm training and in-house startup or growth-stage experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience operating as a highly hands-on legal leader in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Strong commercial contracting experience with the ability to independently negotiate complex enterprise SaaS agreements.
  • Meaningful experience within healthcare, healthcare technology, digital health, health systems, payors, revenue cycle management, or healthcare AI environments.
  • Strong familiarity with healthcare regulatory and compliance frameworks, including HIPAA, healthcare data/privacy considerations, BAAs, and enterprise healthcare contracting.
  • Experience supporting companies through high-growth scaling phases.
  • Strong business judgment with pragmatic, solutions-oriented legal thinking.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with day-to-day executional work.
  • Excellent communicator with strong executive presence and cross-functional influence.
  • High integrity, low ego, adaptable, and thrives in fast-moving environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting AI infrastructure, healthcare AI, or data-heavy SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with SOC 2, privacy frameworks, and emerging AI regulations.
  • Fundraising, M&A, or strategic transactions experience.
  • Experience building legal operations and processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Audit current legal, compliance, and contracting processes.
  • Review enterprise customer agreements, vendor contracts, employment documentation, BAAs, and IP protections.
  • Build relationships across Product, Engineering, GTM, Finance, and Leadership.
  • Assess key legal and operational risks across healthcare, AI, privacy, and enterprise software.
  • Standardize commercial agreement templates and negotiation workflows.
  • Establish outside counsel management processes and legal prioritization framework.
  • Personally draft, review, and negotiate enterprise customer agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, NDAs, BAAs, and employment-related documentation.
  • Build scalable legal review, approval, and contracting processes to support rapid enterprise growth.
  • Partner closely with GTM and Sales teams to accelerate deal cycles while appropriately managing risk.
  • Support board governance, financing diligence, and strategic company initiatives.
  • Advise Product and Engineering teams on AI governance, HIPAA/privacy considerations, data usage, and compliance frameworks.
  • Implement practical policies and processes that balance speed, scalability, and risk management.
  • Build the legal infrastructure necessary to support continued scaling and enterprise expansion.
  • Develop playbooks and operational processes across commercial legal, employment, healthcare compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Manage outside counsel across corporate, employment, IP, regulatory, and strategic matters while maintaining efficient legal spend.
  • Support strategic partnerships, procurement, and potential M&A or expansion opportunities.
  • Improve company-wide legal operations, documentation, and internal enablement.
  • Establish a scalable, high-performing legal function aligned with company growth.
  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to leadership and the board.
  • Help position the company for long-term scale, operational maturity, and future financing events.
  • Build systems that enable the company to move quickly while maintaining strong legal and ethical foundations.
  • Create a proactive legal and compliance culture that supports innovation and enterprise trust.
