About The Position

Nest Health is seeking a strategic, business-minded General Counsel & Compliance Officer to help guide its growth, innovation, and mission. This role is an opportunity to shape how a fast-growing healthcare startup expands responsibly, creatively, and at speed. The General Counsel will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on healthcare, regulatory, compliance, employment, and operational matters. They will lead and evolve the company’s legal and compliance strategy across multiple markets, partnering closely with operations, growth, product, and clinical teams to enable compliant innovation. Responsibilities include overseeing payer contracting, vendor agreements, strategic partnerships, and commercial negotiations, as well as guiding HIPAA/privacy, Medicare & Medicaid, value-based care, telehealth, and risk management initiatives. The role also involves building scalable legal processes, policies, and compliance programs that support rapid growth, and managing litigation, audits, investigations, and outside counsel relationships.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school & active State Bar membership
• 10+ years of healthcare legal experience, preferably in high-growth or startup environments
• Deep expertise in healthcare regulations, payer contracting, compliance, and operational strategy
• Strong executive presence with the ability to translate complex legal issues into practical business solutions
• Experience supporting scaling organizations, market expansion, and innovative care models
