About The Position

We are seeking a highly accomplished, strategic General Counsel (10+ years PQE) to lead the legal function for a premier global cryptocurrency platform. This pivotal onsite role in Hong Kong requires a dual-threat legal expert: someone deeply entrenched in the digital asset regulatory landscape who also brings a robust background in commercial litigation to robustly defend and advance the company’s global interests. Requirements

10+ years of PQE, with a proven track record in a legal leadership role (e.g., Head of Legal, General Counsel) within a major crypto exchange, fintech firm, or a top-tier law firm specializing in these sectors.
Strong background in commercial litigation, arbitration, and managing complex dispute resolution processes.
Native-level or professional-grade fluency in both Mandarin and English (written and verbal) is strictly required to review legal documents and communicate with stakeholders.
Valid admission to the bar in Hong Kong, Singapore, the USA, or an EU member state.
Deep understanding of international regulatory frameworks governing digital assets, securities laws, and cross-border financial compliance.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex, fast-paced corporate environments.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage complex commercial litigation, regulatory investigations, and cross-border disputes. Act as the primary strategic voice in mitigating contentious legal risks.
Draft, review, and negotiate high-value corporate contracts, user agreements, and intricate legal disclosures in both Mandarin and English.
Ensure strict adherence to global legal standards, AML/CTF frameworks, and internal corporate policies across multiple jurisdictions.
Lead and liaise with international legal teams and elite external counsel to ensure unified legal defense and global brand protection.
Proactively analyze evolving regional regulatory shifts (HK, Singapore, US, EU) and translate them into actionable business strategies to safeguard the platform's global operations.
