About The Position

Provide Core Production support by researching images that have not transferred between EMPRS components. This role involves receiving, reviewing, batching, distributing, retaining, and disposing of mail. You will analyze, prioritize, and process record requests from members, veterans, Navy and other DOD organizations, and from third parties received through various channels including BOL, email, fax, mail, and in-person walk-up window. A key responsibility is determining if records can be disclosed under the Privacy Act of 1974 and issuing decisions to requesters. You will also determine if records can be released to third parties under “Blanket Routine Uses” and the “conditions of disclosure to third parties. Scanning documents using high-speed scanners, flatbed scanners, and/or microfiche readers/scanners, including non-standard size documents like photos, college transcripts, and/or microfiche, is also part of the role. Additionally, you will receive, review, and enter entitlement forms from the National Personnel Record Center, St. Louis, MO into a tracking database, and package and mail replacement awards to the veteran or next-of-kin. Assisting with reporting group and individual productivity and performing additional tasks as assigned are also expected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-3 years experience in Office Management and Clerical Support functions
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Products and online collaboration software.
