About The Position
The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the building premises. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants. The position requires the ability to perform physical work, operate cleaning equipment, and manage time efficiently, working both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Must pass background checks.
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies
- Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
Nice To Haves
- Cleaning experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Keeps premises of building in clean and orderly condition
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Clean doors, door handles, countertops and tabletops
- Clean and supply restrooms
- Remove waste and empty trash
- Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
- Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
- Organize janitorial storage areas
- Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance
- Performs other duties as assigned.
