About The Position

Allegiance Industries is hiring a General Cleaner for a manufacturing facility in Louisville, Kentucky. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and pays $16.50 per hour. The cleaner maintains building cleanliness by caring for floors, surfaces, trash, and restrooms; may perform floor-care work; and reports possible repairs. The position also requires moving heavy equipment, objects, or furniture and following cleaning-agent specifications and supervisor directions.

Requirements

• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• Ability to detect safety hazards and communicate them to appropriate staff.
• Reliable transportation; the qualifications also specify reliable and personal transportation.
• Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments.
• Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism.
• Prior janitorial and cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and clean other surfaces.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Supply, clean, and service restrooms.
• Mix cleaning agents according to specifications.
• Move heavy equipment, objects, or furniture.
• Identify and report possible repairs.
• Perform applicable floor work, such as steam-cleaning carpets, applying wax, and buffing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
