About The Position

EMCOR Government Services is seeking a full-time General Cleaner at our National Archives and Records Administration (NARA II) project in College Park, Md (NARA II). This is a SEIU, Local 32BJ-represented position. Requirements

Previous experience in facilities maintenance or commercial cleaning preferred
Proven working experience as a janitor (1 yr experience)
Follow all health and safety regulations
Familiarity with SDS
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Must be able to work independently
Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents in English.
Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 6am – 2:30 pm or other shifts as assigned

Responsibilities

Clean, stock and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, etc.)
Dust and wipe down surfaces
Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors
Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
Notify supervisor of any maintenance or repair needs
Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects, if required
Performs other duties as assigned
