About The Position

Programmed Cleaning Inc. is a regional contract cleaning company with over 60 years of experience and more than 500 employees. We service a wide array of clients including multi-tenant buildings, commercial office buildings, healthcare facilities, financial institutions, and educational facilities. We are currently hiring for a Part-Time General Cleaner position in the Fitchburg area of Madison, with a pay rate of $15.25 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 5:00pm-9:00pm. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and has prior cleaning experience. After training is completed, the employee will work independently along an assigned route.

Requirements

Prior cleaning experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to read and understand English in order to follow laboratory signage and safety instructions.
Reliable personal transportation is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand or walk for the entire shift while performing tasks such as bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching above shoulder height.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Collecting and removing large volumes of trash and cardboard from warehouse and production areas.
Dust surfaces such as desks, cabinet tops, and partitions.
Empty trash and recycling bins and take contents to designated disposal areas.
Sweep and mop hard floors.
Vacuum floors using upright vacuums and/or backpack vacuums.
Perform spot cleaning on carpets.
Clean glass surfaces.
Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, and other surfaces.
Maintain restroom cleanliness and ensure supplies are fully stocked.
Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
