About The Position

The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Cardiologist to join a hospital-based, 13-member cardiology group at UM St. Joseph Medical Center (UM SJMC) in Towson, Maryland. This group includes 10 General Cardiologists, 2 interventional cardiologists, and 1 Electrophysiologist. The role involves patient-centered outpatient services and inpatient cardiology consultations. UM SJMC is the only hospital in Baltimore County capable of performing heart surgery and is recognized as a CMS 5-Star, Leapfrog Grade ‘A’ hospital, ranked #1 community hospital in Maryland by U.S. News and World Report. The position is employed by University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Group (UM SJMG).

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
• Completion of a cardiovascular disease fellowship
• Active or eligible for state medical license
• DEA registration
• BLS/ACLS certification
• License to practice medicine in the state of Maryland
• BC by ABIM
• Successful completion of cardiovascular disease fellowship program
