About The Position
Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston, serving up to 1,250 students from PreK-12. Our mission is to prepare students, particularly multilingual learners and first-generation college aspirants, for success in college and careers to achieve economic security and mobility. Students are admitted through an annual blind public lottery open to all Boston residents. Our diverse student body represents over 20 countries of origin and speaks over 20 languages at home, with 98% students of color. We serve students with diverse needs, including 23% qualifying for special education and 19% being English Language Learners. This is a general application for candidates interested in school positions for the 2025-2026 school year at one of Match's three schools: Match Community Day (Pre-K to 5th), Match Middle School (6th-8th), and Match High School (9th-12th). Requirements
- At least two years of full-time school experience, preferably in an urban education setting
- Belief that all students can and will succeed
- Desire to continually improve their practice as an educator by taking and implementing feedback
- Proven record of student success and achievement
- Demonstrated ability to work well on a team, and a willingness to support others in doing their best work
Responsibilities
- Uphold high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there
- Participate actively in Match’s coaching and professional development programming
- Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community
