About The Position

Georgia Fugees Academy Charter School (GFACS) is seeking a General and Operations Manager to serve 6th-12th grade students. This role requires an unwavering commitment to the Fugees Family, Inc. mission and a willingness to go above and beyond to meet the needs of students, families, and staff. Reporting to the School Leader, this is a 10-month, exempt position. The program begins with middle-school-level students, but instructional scope starts with Kindergarten-level material, as most Fugees Academy students begin middle school performing well below grade level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Several years of experience in operations, management, supervision, or a related leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with business software, reporting tools, scheduling systems, or productivity platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent command of the English language with a passion for supporting expressive language in non-native speakers.
  • A strong sense of loving accountability and individual and collective responsibility.
  • Believe that all students are capable of academic achievement.
  • Commit to building deep, authentic relationships with students and families.
  • Duties and expectations are carried out in a positive, productive, accurate, and punctual/on-time manner.
  • Be receptive to coaching, mentoring, feedback, and performance evaluations for purposes of professional growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate daily business operations across departments or work units.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate operational policies, procedures, and goals.
  • Monitor organizational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating performance.
  • Communicate organizational goals, expectations, and procedures clearly to employees and stakeholders.
  • Analyze reports, budgets, performance data, and operational information to support decision-making.
  • Identify operational problems or risks and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Coordinate activities between departments to ensure efficient workflow and resource use.
  • Oversee budgets, financial reports, purchasing, inventory, or other business resources as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Lead meetings, prepare written reports, and present information to leadership, staff, clients, or partners.
  • Support strategic planning and help implement organizational initiatives.
  • Develop creative solutions to improve productivity, service quality, and organizational effectiveness.
