The General Aide will perform receptionist and clerical duties in the office or a designated location, maintaining confidentiality of information. This role assists in the maintenance of administrative records, preparation of reports, and inventory, care, and maintenance of records, materials, and equipment. The aide will also prepare bibliographies, forms, purchase orders, requisitions, and routine correspondence. Responsibilities include receiving and processing books, materials, and equipment, reconciling them with packing slips and invoices, and shelving them. The aide will also help inventory physical and online resources and distribute/dispatch materials from/to the library and other sources. Additionally, the role involves working with individual students or small groups for instructional exercises, keeping teachers and administrators informed of student progress and needs, and teaching from lesson plans. The aide will also oversee student behavior, supervise various campus areas, maintain a neat and orderly environment, and work cooperatively with others, exhibiting good public relations skills. Professional growth includes participating in staff development and meetings. The aide must follow all policies, rules, and procedures, including the Professional Code of Ethics and administrative procedures, and adhere to attendance policies.
