About The Position

This role provides advanced support in Government Acquisition Program Management, requiring a deep understanding of associated standards, procedures, systems, and practices. The candidate will manage and monitor assigned programs, including changes to the program of record, cost/schedule/performance issues, risks, and contract status. A key aspect of the role involves applying defense acquisition program management principles to maintain Integrated Master Plans/Integrated Master Schedules (IMP/IMS), manage the earned value measurement metrics system, and utilize the USAF Comprehensive Cost and Requirements (CCaR) financial planning tool. The position also involves developing pre- and post-award documentation, assisting with milestone planning, tracking, scheduling, briefing preparation, staff coordination, and decision documentation. Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge, experience, and recognized ability in Government Acquisition Program Management.
  • Ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman Contractor personnel.
  • Comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, systems, and practices in Government Acquisition Program Management (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface).
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in a related field and ten years of experience in Acquisition Program Management, five years of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
  • OR, Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in Acquisition Program Management, five of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.
  • OR, 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight of which must be in the DoD or other USG ISR/SOF Organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor assigned programs, including program of record changes, cost/schedule/performance issues, risks, and contract status.
  • Apply understanding of defense acquisition program management to manage and maintain the Integrated Master Plans/Integrated Master Schedules (IMP/IMS).
  • Manage and maintain the earned value measurement metrics management system.
  • Utilize the USAF Comprehensive Cost and Requirements (CCaR) financial planning tool.
  • Develop pre- and post-award documentation.
  • Assist in milestone planning, tracking, and scheduling.
  • Assist in briefing preparation, staff coordination, and decision documentation.
  • Perform various acquisition management duties common to all organizations to support the mission.
