Requirements
- US Citizen, no dual citizenship (Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance)
- Hands‑on experience working in secure government cloud environments (IL5 or similar).
- Strong Python skills for building, testing, and evaluating GenAI solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
- Ability to interface with stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Local to the DC metro area to support required in‑person briefings and meetings.
Nice To Haves
- Active DoD Secret Security clearance
- Proficiency with Azure services, including Web Apps, Function Apps, Key Vault, and Blob Storage.
- Prior experience deploying GenAI tools in government cloud environments.
- Proven leadership and people‑management experience across cross‑functional AI/engineering teams.
- Experience shaping Data & AI strategy across multiple programs or project threads.
- Familiarity with RLHF methods, LLM evaluation techniques, and AI guardrail implementation.
- Experience driving product roadmaps and working directly with client leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary Generative AI team, including Azure engineers, GenAI data scientists/engineers, and functional team members.
- Design and implement custom GenAI solutions tailored to client data and mission needs within DoD IL5 Azure government cloud environments.
- Collaborate with Integration Architects and Data Architects to ensure cohesive systems and data model integration.
- Interface directly with client stakeholders and AFS leadership to articulate technical requirements, navigate security evaluations, drive on‑contract growth, and triage client feedback.
- Shape the product roadmap and contribute to broader Data & AI strategy across overlapping DoD projects.
- Present technical briefings to both technical and non‑technical audiences, including in‑person briefings at DC‑area client sites.
- Support and mentor team members, foster career growth, and maintain open feedback channels.
- Conduct rigorous LLM testing using industry benchmarks and custom evaluation methods, emphasizing performance and token efficiency.
- Implement AI alignment systems including RLHF‑based models and AI guardrails.
- Deploy GenAI tools using Azure services such as Web Apps, Function Apps, Key Vault, and Blob Storage.
