Sea Fox Boat Company is looking for skilled Gel Coat Technicians who take pride in quality workmanship and understand that every great boat starts with a flawless finish. As a Gel Coat Technician, you'll be responsible for preparing molds and applying gel coat that becomes the beautiful exterior finish of every Sea Fox boat.

Requirements

Experience with gel coat spraying, fiberglass manufacturing, automotive painting, marine manufacturing, composites, or industrial coatings
Ability to identify and correct cosmetic imperfections
Experience using spray equipment and mixing materials
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
Reliable attendance and a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday
Lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
Ability to wear respirators and other required PPE

Responsibilities

Preparing molds by cleaning, waxing, and inspecting surfaces before application
Mixing gel coat materials according to specifications
Applying gel coat using spray equipment while maintaining proper thickness and coverage
Inspecting finished surfaces for cosmetic defects and making repairs as needed
Operating and maintaining spray guns, pumps, hoses, and related equipment
Following production schedules while maintaining exceptional quality standards
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
Working closely with production teams to meet daily goals
Following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE
