Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work with chemicals (gloves, PPE required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs raw materials
  • Ability to stand for periods of 8+ hours
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled environment work
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and batch records
  • Safety-conscious with chemical handling
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Strong documentation discipline

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated environment (FDA / ISO / GMP)
  • Familiarity with viscosity testing, pH measurement, or lab-style controls
  • 1–3 years manufacturing experience (chemical, pharma, or medical device preferred)
  • Experience with batch mixing, compounding, or chemical handling strongly preferred.
  • Potential cleanroom or controlled environment work

Responsibilities

  • Prepare chemical formulations according to batch records, SOPs, and work instructions
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and dispense raw materials (liquids, powders, polymers)
  • Operate mixing equipment (e.g., planetary mixers, agitation systems, heating vessels)
  • Monitor mixing parameters (time, temperature, viscosity) and adjust as required
  • Complete batch records, logs, and traceability documentation with accuracy
  • Perform in-process checks (viscosity, pH, conductivity, appearance)
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and transferred to production
  • Follow GMP, ISO 13485, and FDA-regulated processes
  • Adhere to chemical handling, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Support investigations, deviations, and CAPAs when needed
  • Clean and sanitize mixing equipment and work areas (often controlled or clean environment)
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate equipment issues
  • Maintain inventory of raw materials and notify shortages
