About The Position

The Gear Valet Associate maintains the security and organization of guests’ equipment and personal items. The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, computer skills, and the ability to interact with the public. Duties include organizing and accounting for stored equipment, arranging equipment tune-ups, securing equipment after service, and selling and fulfilling lift tickets, season passes, and express cards. The position may also involve other assigned duties, including weekend work. The role is based in a mountain resort environment and involves working in fluctuating temperatures and confined spaces, as well as standing or sitting for extended periods. Requirements

Must enjoy working and interacting with the public.
Ability to multitask.
Must be over 14 years of age.
Excellent computer skills.
Knowledge of computer hardware, word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
Knowledge of business letter writing and business forms, office procedures, business English, filing systems, and common office machines and their operation.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, members of the business community, and fellow resort employees.
Ability to effectively present information.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry approximately 25 pounds.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to work in confined spaces and fluctuating temperatures.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Microsoft Office.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Maintain the security of guest equipment stored on site.
Account for and organize guest equipment.
Deliver equipment for tune-ups as requested and ensure it is secured after service is complete.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
Sell and fulfill lift tickets, season passes, and express cards.
Perform other duties as assigned, which may include weekend work.
