About The Position

We are looking for a Gear Assembler (Machinist I) to join our Shocks Department, with a focus on building Third Members and gears. This is an ideal role for someone looking to develop their technical skills in a hands-on environment. In this entry-level role, you’ll be focused on the assembly and machining of Third Members and gear components. The Gear Assembler is responsible for assembling gear sets and related components according to established work instructions, specifications, and quality standards. This role focuses on performing repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy and attention to detail while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety expectations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical schooling or related experience preferred
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn assembly processes.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Assemble gears and related components according to work instructions and established specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment to complete assigned work.
  • Verify parts and components are correctly assembled before moving to the next production step.
  • Perform visual inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects, damage, or missing components.
  • Accurately complete production and assembly documentation as required.
  • Maintain organization of parts, tools, and workstations.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Communicate quality concerns, material shortages, or process issues to leadership.
  • Assist with inventory organization and material handling as needed.
  • Support other production areas as business needs require.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow through on commitments.
