GDL Lab Engineering Manager

Texas Instruments•Dallas, TX

About The Position

Texas Instruments is seeking a Lab Engineering Manager to lead a multi-vector engineering organization focused on semiconductor validation. The role sets the direction for validation technology and develops reusable hardware and software solutions that scale across business units. It partners with business units, validation and test councils, TTS, IT, and other organizations to align lab engineering with TI’s product strategy, while developing remote-capable, compact solutions designed for low ownership costs and broad deployment. The manager leads the evolution of shared validation software infrastructure, including modern high-throughput frameworks using Python and established LabVIEW/TestStand environments. The position owns roadmaps for operational tools and processes and advances the Smart Lab vision through intelligent asset management, equipment-utilization solutions, and automated tracking. It also enables specialized testing in EMC/EMI, space radiation, and data center applications, and drives AI strategy and integration—including agentic bench platforms and advanced data analytics—across the validation community. The role builds digital and physical infrastructure for TI validation, advances AI-augmented engineering and high-throughput automation, scales specialized testing capabilities globally, and streamlines complex operational processes. The position is part of a central team influencing business units across Analog and Embedded.
