About The Position

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Platform Engineer to join our growing infrastructure team. You will be responsible for taking ownership of complex cloud infrastructure solutions and leading the design, implementation, and management of a platform built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate closely with developers, operations teams, and security professionals to ensure the platform is robust, scalable, secure, future-ready, and aligned with evolving business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps or a related field, with at least 2 years focused on GCP .
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale cloud infrastructure on GCP .
• Strong experience with container orchestration technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and GKE .
• In-depth knowledge of GCP services, including: Compute Engine Cloud Storage Cloud Networking Kubernetes Engine Cloud Monitoring IAM
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go .
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform .
• Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines , such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
• Experience implementing infrastructure security best practices and security automation on GCP.

Nice To Haves

• GCP certifications, such as Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Experience working with large-scale, highly available cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, automation, and cost optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and manage GKE infrastructure , including compute, storage, networking, and containerization services.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using GCP tools to proactively identify and troubleshoot platform issues.
• Ensure the platform is highly available, scalable, secure, and compliant with industry best practices.
• Stay current with the latest GCP, Kubernetes , and cloud technology advancements.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers while fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Optimize platform efficiency and performance while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Document infrastructure architecture, operational procedures, and best practices.
