About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in GCP services, cloud architecture, and migration strategies, along with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT, with 3+ years in cloud architecture
• Strong hands-on experience with core GCP services: Compute: Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Run
• Storage: Cloud Storage, Persistent Disks
• Databases: BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Firestore
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Strong knowledge of networking (VPC, load balancing, DNS, VPN, Interconnect)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build)
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Java, or Go)
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana)

Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Lead cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, modernization)
• Define cloud architecture standards, governance, and best practices
• Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and security teams to implement CI/CD pipelines
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and performance optimization
• Implement security best practices including IAM, encryption, and compliance frameworks
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure and applications
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
• Stay updated with emerging GCP services and cloud trends
