About The Position

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical GCP Architect to join our nearshore team for an automotive sector project. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform for our global organization. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, leveraging your technical expertise to drive cloud transformation initiatives and ensure efficient, secure, and cost-effective cloud operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in cloud architecture, with at least 3 years specifically working with Google Cloud Platform
• Advanced proficiency in GCP services and hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale solutions
• Strong expertise in infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform
• Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Cloud Build, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in monitoring and observability tools for cloud infrastructure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize complex systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in distributed, cross-functional teams
• Experience in cloud cost optimization and resource management

Nice To Haves

• Experience with multi-cloud environments or hybrid cloud architectures
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and agile methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud security frameworks and compliance standards

Responsibilities

• Design and architect comprehensive Google Cloud Platform solutions that align with business requirements and organizational standards
• Analyze existing infrastructure and applications to identify optimization opportunities and develop migration strategies to GCP
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform to ensure reproducible and maintainable cloud environments
• Configure and manage GCP services including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and networking components
• Establish security best practices, implement identity and access management, and ensure compliance with organizational policies
• Design and optimize containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes on GCP
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes and improve delivery efficiency
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, analyze metrics, and implement optimization strategies to reduce costs and improve reliability
• Collaborate with development teams to provide technical guidance on cloud-native architecture patterns and best practices
• Document architectural decisions, system designs, and operational procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance
• Participate in capacity planning and forecasting to support organizational growth and scalability requirements
