The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking an GCCS-J Systems Administrator in support of the Air Force National Capital (AFNCR) IT Services program. Requirements

  • Prior to determined start date the selected candidate must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS.
  • Requires a current 8140 IAT Level II (Intermediate or Advanced) certificate: CompTIA Security+
  • 5+ years of IT/network administration experience in DoD environments
  • 2-5 years of experience analyzing and providing GCCS-J system support
  • Experience with including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of GCCS-J software/systems operating on Windows 11 platforms, in a Domain Naming Service (DNS)and/or Active Directory environment
  • Conducting system audits and pre-deployment system checkouts of GCCS-M in support of a readiness posture, resolving any system discrepancies
  • Experienced with Windows DHCP, GPO, and PowerShell
  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and remote management of workstations and servers
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking principles.
  • Experienced on DoD patch Management and Vulnerability Remediation (Process and Tools)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)
  • Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams (software developers, hardware engineers, network specialists, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage GCCS-J system; remove, relocate, test, troubleshoot, and repair GCCS-Hardware to include servers, workstations, and other associated equipment
  • Perform software installation of GCCS-J systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of GCCS-J software to achieve fully operational system functionality
  • Conduct system audits and pre-deployment system checkouts of GCCS-J in support of a readiness posture, resolves any system discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain a GCCS-AF Contingency Plan, including backup and restoral procedures for local backups as well as backup and restores to the remote disaster recovery sites and support through the network of those sites.
  • Travel up to six times a year, projected to be in CONUS, when directed by the leadership, to support COOP and GCCS-related conferences.
  • Serve as part of the contingent Advanced Echelon (ADVON) team with 24/7 contingent ADVON standby support.
