About The Position

Provide expert technical expertise in the installation, repair and operation of the Global Broadcast Service (GBS) across its product line (AN/PRS-11, AN/TSR-11. AN/USQ-196, AN/usr-10 family). Coordinate response to ship and field technical problems (i.e. CASREPS). Additionally provide coordination and TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP to other technicians. Will be tasked to provide technical advice to the GBS engineering team.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED, related military experience, or trade/industrial school graduate
• 10 years professional experience solving technical problems.
• Trained in the skills and techniques related to engineering and/or software design/maintenance.
• Possess a practical understanding of engineering concepts.
• Experience includes testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
• Familiar with material specifications and fabrication methods.
• Secret clearance

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience with GBS systems.
• Technical understanding of system operation and function of GBS
• Technical experience of current GBS variants and their installations
• Use of test equipment for troubleshooting
• Experience in computer aided drafting (CAD)
• Ability to prepare shop drawings for model construction

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical expertise in the installation, repair and operation of the Global Broadcast Service (GBS) across its product line (AN/PRS-11, AN/TSR-11. AN/USQ-196, AN/usr-10 family).
• Coordinate response to ship and field technical problems (i.e. CASREPS).
• Provide coordination and TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP to other technicians.
• Provide technical advice to the GBS engineering team.
• Ensures that the product/service and process meet quality and safety standards.
• Testing equipment to make sure that the process operates effectively and safely.
• Interpret plans and drawings and contribute to the design and fabrication of test specimens.
• Prepare shop drawings for model construction.
• Reviewing technical documentation of system troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures.
• Troubleshooting and technical support of end-to-end architecture.
• Mentoring and/or training junior engineers/technicians.
• Successfully completing SOVT and on-site technical assistance on any GBS variant.
