About The Position

Building upon level one, level two maintenance technicians perform basic preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and emergency maintenance on all equipment. This role requires a basic understanding of fabrication and welding, good communication skills (reading, writing, and verbalizing), proficiency with calipers, and basic shop math. Typically, 3-6 years of experience is expected.

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, wrenches, etc.
• Ability to use basic inspection tools such micrometers, calipers, comparators.
• Ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents – basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions.
• 3 to 6 years of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required.
• GED or High School diploma required.

Nice To Haves

• Basic understanding of fabrication and welding.
• Good communication skills a must in reading, writing and verbalizing.
• Proficiency with calipers and basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
• Correctly interpret work orders.
• Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
• Perform basic facility maintenance tasks.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical processes.
• Determine repairs needed for future corrective maintenance work.
• Perform basic non-load bearing welds using mig or stick welding.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
• Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager.
