About The Position

Our Security Gate Officers are essential to creating a safe and positive experience for every guest and team member. By enforcing hotel policies and monitoring access to the hotel, this role ensures the protection of our people, facilities, and natural surroundings while supporting a welcoming atmosphere. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity and comfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel etc.)
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to become CPR certified (training provided).
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Completes hotel security training course, with the ability to maintain proficiencies in the daily operations of a Loss Prevention Officer.
  • Communicates (written and verbal) with guests and employees.
  • Responsible for accurately documenting and securing the lost and found as well the reunification of all lost property to the rightful owner.
  • Recognizes and reports hazards (real or probable) pertaining to personal physical liability or fire safety and assets protection.
  • Able to stand in standing position for long periods of time.
  • Performs tasks relating to traffic control and parking allocations of hotel guest and employees as well as vendor and outside visitors.
  • Transportation of VIP’s, guest and international employees as directed by the executive staff and others.
  • Escort VIP’s, employees and others as directed.
  • Provide overnight security for in house groups and others.
  • Other directives from their Supervisors.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
