Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience with RMS, AODB, or similar systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong, clear communication skills, including radio communication in time-sensitive situations
  • Must be able and willing to work all shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Must obtain and maintain a SIDA badge
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Knowledge of Word Processing Software, Spreadsheet Software, Internet Software, and Database Software.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ year of aviation, ramp operations, ground handling, or similar fast-paced operational environment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Gate Assignments: Manage aircraft parking and gate scheduling using Resource Management Systems (RMS) to optimize airport operations.
  • Lead Real-Time Operations: Serve as the key point of coordination between airlines, ramp teams, and airport leadership to ensure seamless arrivals and departures.
  • Monitor Airfield Activity: Utilize operational systems to ensure safety compliance and efficient ramp activity.
  • Resolve Operational Challenges: Anticipate and address gate conflicts, delays, and disruptions—especially during irregular operations (IROPS) like weather events.
  • Communicate Critical Updates: Keep airlines and stakeholders informed and ensure accurate updates to Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS).
  • Maintain Operational Records: Track daily activity, maintain logs, and contribute to performance reporting and operational improvements.
