About The Position
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a full-time Motility-Trained Gastroenterologist to join our nationally recognized team at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, located in the heart of Philadelphia. This role involves providing expert care for patients with complex esophageal, gastric, and intestinal motility disorders, collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, and participating in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and innovation in motility diagnostics and therapeutics. The position also includes teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, and contributing to Jefferson’s academic mission through scholarly activity and publications.
Requirements
- Board-certified (or board-eligible) in Gastroenterology
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Advanced motility training and experience in managing complex motility disorders
- Eligible for or currently holding a Pennsylvania medical license
Responsibilities
- Provide expert care for patients with complex esophageal, gastric, and intestinal motility disorders
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists, and speech pathologists
- Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and innovation in motility diagnostics and therapeutics
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, including those in Jefferson’s GI fellowship program
- Contribute to Jefferson’s academic mission through scholarly activity and publications
