Gastroenterology NP | No Call | No Weekends | Washington, DC
About The Position
Capital Medical Group (CMG) is seeking a full-time Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their outpatient GI team in Washington, DC. This role is designed for an experienced GI NP and offers a predictable Monday-Friday schedule with no nights, no weekends, and no call. The position includes dedicated mentorship and the support of a collaborative academic practice, allowing the NP to practice at the top of their license while caring for a diverse patient population alongside experienced physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The setting is an outpatient clinic within the Foggy Bottom area of Washington, DC, utilizing the Epic EMR system.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of Nurse Practitioner experience following completion of NP training
- Gastroenterology experience required
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Active or eligible for Washington, DC licensure
- Commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative practice

- New graduate NPs will not be considered for this position
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive gastroenterology care for a diverse adult and geriatric patient population
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage common gastrointestinal conditions
- Provide GI screenings, work-ups, follow-up and post-surgical care while managing a panel of patients with chronic GI conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, residents, and medical students to support coordinated patient care
- Deliver patient-centered care within a collaborative academic practice
- Document clinical encounters using Epic EMR
