Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Nuvance Health has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Poughkeepsie, New York. This role is part of the growth of the Digestive Health Institute at Nuvance Health within the Nuvance Health Medical Practice Gastroenterology Department. The position involves seeing patients in both outpatient office and hospital settings, with a Monday-Friday work schedule and no call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of experience in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology. This is an employed position offering a comprehensive benefits package, including allowances for CMEs and Dues. Our employed Medical Group comprises over 1000 physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a broad geographic region across eastern New York and western Connecticut.
Requirements
- Board certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- At least one year of experience in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology
- Bachelor Degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) school
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- New York State Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license
- Federal DEA
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills
