About The Position

Sturdy Health is seeking a Full-Time Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their well-established and successful team at their outpatient office in Attleboro, MA. The practice is committed to providing the highest quality health care to adult patients, with convenient office hours and easy access to major highways. The team cares for patients with a wide variety of gastrointestinal conditions, including GERD, Barrett's esophagus, esophageal motility disorders, H. pylori infection, liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. They maintain close relationships with community-based primary care physicians, other specialists, and hospital staff to ensure personalized, comprehensive digestive health care. The role involves providing direct patient care, working alongside passionate gastroenterologists and advanced practitioners, and collaborating cross-functionally with primary care providers. A new ambulatory office space is being built on the hospital campus. Full-time employment is preferred.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited and/or approved Adult/Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant Program
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant, in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, or ability to obtain
  • Must have or eligible for, and maintain, a current DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration
  • Current certification in CPR required
  • Requires a minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in Gastroenterology as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all age levels served within the scope of the position/assigned areas
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the workplace, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
