About The Position

Jefferson Health Northeast is seeking full-time Gastroenterologists to join their growing GI practice in northeast Philadelphia. The practice offers a full scope of GI services, including inpatient consults, ER call coverage, outpatient clinics, and endoscopy procedures at surgery centers. They provide comprehensive gastrointestinal healthcare with advanced diagnostics and endoscopic therapies, emphasizing a patient-centric culture, individualized care, and a positive work environment. The current group consists of five physicians with diverse interests in general and advanced gastroenterology. This position involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient work, with a call schedule of 1:4 to 1:6. There is an option to work with internal medicine residents and medical students. Endoscopy centers are located at Grant Surgery Center in Northeast Philadelphia and Langhorne Surgery Center in Bucks County. Office locations include Grant Office in Northeast Philadelphia and Oxford Valley Mall Plaza in Langhorne. A new state-of-the-art office and surgery center is under construction at the Torresdale campus, featuring 10 exam rooms and 3 endoscopy rooms. The division is equipped with advanced technology, including 190 Olympus scopes.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited program
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency
• Completion of an ACGME accredited GI fellowship
• Board certified/eligible in IM, GI
• Appropriate licenses and certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide full scope GI service including inpatient consults, ER call coverage, outpatient clinic, and endoscopy.
• Participate in a coverage pool of 1:4 to 1:6 call schedule.
• Option to work with internal medicine residents and medical students.
