About The Position

Dignity Health Medical Group – Merced, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is seeking a full-time, board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist to join our growing, physician-led, and mission-driven medical group in the heart of California's Central Valley. This is a unique opportunity to provide both outpatient and inpatient care while helping to design and develop a Gastroenterology service line within a highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain) and DEA registration.
• Strong clinical and communication skills with a commitment to team-based care.
• Passion for providing high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse and underserved community.

Nice To Haves

• ERCP skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide variety of gastrointestinal conditions, including those affecting the esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, small intestine, and colon.
• Regular involvement in endoscopies and GI screenings, along with diagnosing and managing complex GI disorders.
• Opportunity to develop interests in GI subspecialties based on your career goals.
• Work alongside a dedicated team of primary care and specialty providers with a strong referral network.
