About The Position

We are seeking a Gastroenterologist for a Locum Tenens position at a hospital in Greensboro, NC. This role involves providing clinical coverage in the GI/Endoscopy Lab, focusing on adult and geriatric patients. The coverage period is for 6 months, starting August 17, 2026, with a Monday-Friday, 8a-5p clinical shift schedule. Responsibilities include performing ERCP, EUS, and general GI endoscopy procedures, managing inpatient GI cases and consults, collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and hospital staff, and ensuring accurate documentation. The facility is a Level II-IV trauma center utilizing the Epic EMR system, with available endoscopy equipment, APP support, and hospital staff. Hospital privileges are required, with a credentialing timeline of 60-90 days. The reason for coverage is ongoing need until a permanent hire is made.

Requirements

• Active NC license or IMLC accepted
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology
• DEA required
• ERCP and EUS experience required
